About Premium Version
Does Bluecoins charge a monthly fee to upgrade to Premium?
No, unlike other finance apps that charge monthly subscription fees, Bluecoins only charges a one-time fee to upgrade to Premium. The upgrade is permanent, and can be used on multiple devices as long as you use the same account you bought the premium upgrade to download Bluecoins from the Goole Playstore.
Important: On a multi-user Android phone, it is not enough that you have the same Google account registered on the phone, you need to make sure that you switch to the same account on the Google Playstore app when downloading Bluecoins.

Does Bluecoins have a web or browser application?
No, Bluecoins does not have a web application. Having a internet based application will force Bluecoins to charge a MONTHLY FEE for the services. This is to keep up with the server and storage costs of maintaining an online presence. Currently, we do not believe that the user base of Bluecoins will be willing to shift to a monthly payment model. We will continue to review and reconsider as the user base grows and demand evolves.
Does Bluecoins link and connect to bank accounts to download transactions?
No, Bluecoins does not link and connect to bank accounts for the following reasons:
- acquiring the technologies required to connect to bank accounts will force Bluecoins to charge a MONTHLY FEE for the services.
- the reliability and uptime of these services being provided to 3rd party apps are not very good, as evidenced by user feedback and complaints seen on multiple apps on the Google Playstore which claims to offer these type of services.
- lingering concerns with security and data breach of personal bank and credit card accounts. This is the reason why many of the users are not comfortable sharing their banking username and passwords to 3rd party apps such as Bluecoins to access their bank accounts.
Will Bluecoins have an iOS app?
This is something that we have on our long-term roadmap. As a small development team, our focus is on the Android platform and be known as the number 1 finance app on the Google Playstore by providing high quality features, functionality and design. As the user base grows and Bluecoins becomes more succesful, the chances of developing an iOS version also increases.

Why are transfers not recorded as expense?
Bluecoins relies heavily standard accounting principles that is well recognized around the world. Transfers, or moving money from one account to another, such as making payment to your credit card from your bank account, is simply a means of journal-ling movement of funds from one account to another. The expense was made when the credit purchase was incurred. Paying off the debt does not have any impact on your net worth or bottom-line as expense or income would, because this would simply lead to a corresponding equivalent reduction in both your asset and liability, resulting to zero net impact (difference between assets and liabilities).
