Version 8.5 brings a couple of fresh updates to Bluecoins and a whole lot of changes under the hood.
First off, autocomplete now supports split transactions. When you select a autocomplete suggestion that was previously recorded as a split transaction, the transaction screen will be immediately populated with the previously recorded split entries! Previously, you can only recreate previous split transactions via long press on the transactions tab and doing copy and paste. This update should make it much more convenient to you to regenerate split transactions. It should save you a lot of time, for example, recording your next split paycheck (incomes, taxes, other deductions, etc) 😉
Next up, the Calendar now has a quick shortcut to it’s own Settings page on the toolbar. No more digging though the Settings page! This will be the home for more Calendar features and settings to be added in the future.
Under the categories tab, you can now choose to display your summaries by category groups, instead of by categories!
There has been a ton of things going on under the hood. We’re very busy migrating the app to the new Kotlin language, as well as integrating the new Android Jetpack and architecture libraries Google recently released. This would help ensure that the app remains compliant with new technologies and requirements, and ensure its future proof and readily scalable for new features.
